The hunter and pet – beagle
Thanks to a peculiar harmonious voice, the beagle can easily work alone, either in a pack or in a pair, hunting for a rabbit or a hare. In addition, beagle puppies from childhood become excellent interlocutors.
Perhaps the ancestors of the beagle still lived in ancient Greece. This is the smallest of the bloodhounds. Beagles were brought to England in 1066 by the Normans, who used this breed to hunt rabbits. At that time, the beagle was even smaller than it is now. Often, the dog was simply put in the pocket of a knight or in a camping bag, where she was quite comfortable.
In the UK, the beagle was so loved that it was decided to create a whole Beagle Club – Beagle Club. Now this breed is very popular in Italy. Since not all owners use the beagle on the hunt, during the championships this breed is subjected to all kinds of tests so that over time the dog does not lose its hunting qualification. Such procedures are really worth carrying out, because the beagle, which is not used in the svor, turns into a soft and gentle beast, which no longer feels an urgent need for companion dogs.
It’s very easy to take care of the beagle, it’s enough to periodically comb the hair and give food rich in proteins. Remember that the ideal weight for a beagle is 17 kg, and try to maintain it at this level. True, you will have to walk the dog constantly and for a very long time, because it is vital for her to take long street walks.
In the house he will be comfortable next to the owner, calm in temperament, cheerful, but at the same time strict, because from time to time the beagle shows obstinacy, inherited from his ancestors.
